And it certainly isn't like they've never seen me here before - office hours for TAs have been in this room all year. I'm also fairly sure that I didn't put lipstick on my eyebrows or gel my hair into spikes this morning, either.
I'd be much happier if some of my students would stop by, but they're all smart enough to get through the workbook we're required to use for the intro labs without my help. At least, I hope so. We'll see after the first round of grading.
There! They did it again. If I see one more mouth hanging open, I'm going to start throwing things in and keeping score.

Well, it depends on who the person is that is doing the slow walk/stare.
Prof: Looking for some free labor and is scoping you out.
Grad Student: Looking for something to distract her from work. Spending an hour talking to another grad student would accomplish this very well.
Undergrad Student: Doesn't know where she is going, looking for prof's office she has never been, to beg for a better grade.
MY "office" as a grad student looked an awful lot like a broom closet. Perhaps these people are walking by in need of a mop or a bucket?
Chris - very funny! I needed a laugh after today's lab. (Let's just say some people had a hard time identifying continents.)
The office actually looks like an office - it's got a window and everything! (Unlike my research lab.) Maybe they're just envious of the window...
