Can't let these die - everyone else has a weekly feature, and I need something to waste time on when I'm supposed to be teaching myself MATLAB.

That's a nice one. If you wrote The Director, like it says, the only thing you could say would be: 'you know, the one called Fish Lake.' Gosh, there's got to be a million or so Fish Lakes! :D
Or, you could just send him your GPS reading...
I haven't seen an elevation on a benchmark for awhile now. usually it doesn't even have a name just a catalog number that might mean something to someone.
